Specialist decorative gift bag distributor Misumaru gave retailers a glimpse of its new Gift-Mate product range last week.
The range was successfully previewed in the UK by distribution partner Scott Brothers Ltd last year, prompting Misumaru to exhibit it at last week’s Progressive Greetings Live show at London’s Business Design Centre for the first time.
The Gift-Mate bags are available in a variety of sizes to accommodate a range of items, including a wine bottle bag, and feature a drawstring ribbon tie for ease and speed of use.
As the gift bags are waterproof and watertight, the company is also targeting florists, which it says can use them to hold flower bouquets and plants.
They are made from high quality and printed film laminate and come in a range of designs and finishes including non-woven, metallic and holographic film.
The two-layer laminated film construction makes the bags exceptionally strong, preventing them from tearing like conventional wrapping paper, according to the company.
As well as The Scott Partnership, Misumaru also works with Riverside Cards on a distribution level in the UK.
