The BFA’s stand, titled “Woodland rhapsody” and designed by Springbank Flowers (home of Chelsea Young Florist of the Year Joe Massie) took a Silver medal at Chelsea last week.

Described as a “vision of arboreal fantasy fused with contemporary design that opens up a rare gateway into an escapist world of natural treasures” the stand employed the recycled root base of an ancient Yew tree from Tatton Park in Cheshire.

Anna-Lisa Evans of Springbanks said: “We decided to take this opportunity to show flowers in all their glorious colours and textures, which we understand may not have been the safest option. In light of this we’re delighted to have been awarded the Silver medal. We’ve learned a lot from our first trip to Chelsea and must thank the BFA and RHS for this great opportunity.”
