This position is to provide maternity cover and is therefore fixed-term from 20 June 2011 until mid January 2012, or the return of the post holder if sooner.
Salary: £19,951 - £23,106
Hours: 37 per week (Monday to Friday)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated academic person to lead the dynamic floristry department. You will work with the Academy Head and fellow Horticultural staff who will support you within the academy. Applicants need to develop a stimulating and supportive learning environment for students of mixed abilities. The person will be a confident, successful FE lecturer, able to design and manage the development of students. Programmes will include recreational, level two and level three courses. An understanding of budgeting and purchasing stock and materials would be of an advantage but not an essential requirement.
