Paul Thomas, floral designer to royalty and the stars, is celebrating 21 years continuous trading for his Mayfair-based shop and event business.
Thomas originally trained under floral decorator Kenneth Turner, before striking out on his own in 1989.
He quickly established a reputation for extravagant, inspiring and beautiful floral decorations that drew clients which including Lord and Lady Sainsbury, Vivienne Westwood, Elizabeth Murdoch, the Mittal family, the Getty family and many more to commission his services.
In 2000 Paul was invited to design key decorations for the celebration of HM Queen the Queen Mother’s 100th Birthday at Windsor Castle, decorating St Georges Hall with two magnificent displays.
He was subsequently asked to decorate for the 21st birthday celebrations of both Peter and Zara Phillips. More recently Paul was honoured to again be invited to decorate St. George’s Hall for the wedding reception of HRH the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.
In 2008 Paul was personally invited by Peter Phillips to design and decorate the wedding reception at Frogmore House at his recent marriage to Autumn Kelly.
In 2004 Paul Thomas took over as the resident florist to The Ritz in London’s West End.
